Smaller economic houses

The New York times has an article online called Think Small (The photo was taken from the article). It looks at the trend of tiny second homes (500 square feet and under) in the US. Smaller houses mean less upkeep, energy, and waiting are required.

There's also an Audio Slideshow of some of the homes discussed in the text.

These houses are located in some stunning places but I can't help thinking that I'd feel a little exposed living in one of them.
